Garden to Table
We had a great morning on Wednesday during our Garden to Table session. Half the class learnt about composting and worm farms whilst the other half cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Then after some members of the class described how they made the meal we all sat down together to enjoy the results.
We really enjoyed unusual tastes and textures in the meal this week. If you and your children would like to recreate the recipes at home click on the link below:
If anyone would like to participate in the Garden to Table sessions with us (or with other classes) please let us know.

Caught Being Good T1 W1
Congratulations to our Caught Being Good winners.
Both Rose and Ali have been great role models this week, showing our school values in their actions. A great start to the year.
Keep up your amazing work!!
An amazing first week for Room 7...
Our amazing first week back at school
From vintage cars and crazily dressed teachers to swimming and Garden to Table we have had a first week packed with adventurous learning!
So many interesting cars to investigate. We learnt cars shapes changed over time and became curvier. Their engines changed too and they were able to go faster!
The cars were a great way for our students to get started on the Whakatomene theme for the year which means Explorers and Adventurers - Past, Present and Future.
Please remember to bring these things everyday:
- swimming togs and towels
- water bottle (water only)
- sunhats
Wednesday is our next Garden to Table. Please remember to bring covered shoes (as we use knives and garden equipment).
