Three Little Pigs Acrostic Poem

Acrostics are fun poems to write.  The first letter of each line spells out a word.  The word can be a name, a thing, or whatever you like.   Usually, the first letter of each line is a capital letter. This makes it easier to see the word spelled out down the page.  Acrostic poems are easy to write because they don’t need to rhyme.  Each line can be as long or as short as you want it to be.

To create an acrostic poem, follow these four easy steps:

  1. Write your word vertically down the page - we are using the word RESOURCEFUL.
  2. Brainstorm words or phrases that describe your idea.
  3. Place your brainstormed words or phrases on the lines that begin with the same letters.
  4. Fill in the rest of the lines to create a poem.

Here is my attempt at an acrostic poem all about the Three Little Pigs story.

I'm looking forward to seeing your poems!

3D POP Art

Here is Room 7's dazzling 3D POP Art...

Room 7 worked tirelessly to get their artwork finished and I managed to put it up in our classroom just before lockdown. I think you'll agree, it looks fabulously colourful!

If you want to post your artwork on your own blog you could take a screenshot from the slideshow.  Remember to make a quality blog post about your art.
You could describe:
  • how easy or hard it was to make
  • what you enjoyed about making it
  • anything you would do differently
  • advice to others who might want to make their own 3D POP Art

Mask Off... or should that be Mask On!

What's cooking?

 Hi Everyone,

I've loved seeing all your interesting blog posts over the last few days.  Keep it up!

Rose asked me what creative thing I had been doing during Lockdown so I thought I would show you all....  (and yes, they were delicious)  The hardest part was not over mixing the flour with the other ingredients because if you do, the muffins will come out tough.  Mmmmmm, the smell in the kitchen was incredible while they were baking.

Have you got something creative you can post?
