Te Tuhi Art Gallery visit
A HUGE thank you to the parents who came with us to Te Tuhi Art Gallery. It was so good to have whanau back, sharing learning with our tamariki.
Check out the amazing art Room 23 created! You can also come into our classroom next time you are around school, to see them in person.
Do you remember which artists we looked at to get inspiration before we made our art pieces?

Superhero Me Student Portraits
Room 23 has been creating portraits of ourselves as superheroes.
First we chose either a warm or cool coloured background, creating graphic shapes like a comic book.
Next we thought of four words that described ourselves.
Finally we designed our own mask to add to our portrait.
What four words would you use to describe yourself?

Positively Portraits
Room 23 have been working on these portraits using pastel, vivid pens and paint. We all started by drawing eyes, nose and mouth and yet like every student - these portraits are all one of a kind amazing!

There will also be two further Google Meets for those students learning from home. They will be on Monday and Thursday at 11am. These meets will be run by Jo Green and Phil Margetts. A link to these meets will also be sent to students' emails.

Battle of the Mountains ...model making
We have been learning to tell a new legend this term. It is all about
...The Battle of the Mountains
Students have been making their own models of the different maunga.
Students, can you see your model?
Challenge: Take a screenshot of your model and create a blog post about what you have been learning during our Oral Language sessions. You could also make more models of the maunga at home. Can you make all 7 mountains?
