Social distancing....just how long is 2 metres?

We have had a lot of wet break times this week... but some students in Room 7 managed to occupy themselves investigating how long 2 metres is.

Now we are very clear how far we need to be spaced out when we are outside .... that is when it finally stops raining!!!

There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom - Character Web of Bradley Chalkers

Room 7 has started reading the story 'There's a boy in the girl's bathroom' by Louis Sachar.  We have only read up to chapter 8. The main character is Bradley and we think he is very interesting because he acts one way but seems to be thinking something else. Here is a character web that shows all the different sides of Bradley. Have you read this book?  If so what would you do if you meet Bradley at school?

Become a bubble teacher!

Time for you to become a bubble teacher!

Whaea Carol has made a video to help students at Owairaka learn some Te Reo words for objects around the house and to practise their counting. There will be people in your bubble who would love to learn what you have already learnt in our Te Reo lessons with Whaea Carol.

Watch the video together and help them practice the new kupe.
