Garden to Table Week 3

We had a fantastic session today learning about compost...

Do you make compost at your house?

Can you explain why the compost heap gets hot?

Our meal was also delicious, thanks to the hard workers in the kitchen.

Before I didn't know if it was so hot in a compost heap. I don't really like composting because it stinks so bad. I learnt that you can't put in fruit stickers in the compost.
Did you think it was interesting?

  10. Hi Megan,
    Samantha here.
I have compost heaps at home! What makes the compost hot in the middle is the layers of condensed food and natural heat. I loved the food to!
What did you think of it?

  16. Hi Megan, it is Amy.
I think that learning about how hot it gets in compost comparing how hot the ground is.
Also it was cool to think of it like a sandwich like the leafs and browns as the bread the greens and food scrap like the filling and then you put some more browns on top for the top piece of bread.
Do you have compost at your house?
    Bye blog you later.
