  1. Kia Ora Ms Judd Jed here, the reason why I think tidying up after earthquakes is because there may be liquefaction on the streets and then it might block the roads and people cannot get to safe places like your grandparents home. That is why I think tidying up after earthquakes is important blog ya later.

  2. Hi Megan, it is Amy.
The reason why it is such a huge job to tidy up after the earthquake is because all the pipes burst and mixed with the water so it turns into this thing called liqafaction and all the roads break so they have to mend them.
Also lots of building fall over so they turn into a huge pile of rocks and they have to move the rocks and put them somwhere then they have to build the building again which takes forever.
There might also be lots of other damage like things falling over in your house and you have to pick everthing up and then you have to put the broken stuff in the bin.
Have you ever been in a earthquake?
    Bye blog you laterAmy

  3. Hi Miss Judd.
I think that tidying up after the quake is a huge job because you could find bodies of alive people or dead people. You could also find pets and valuable items.
    That is what I think.

  4. Hi Harry here. The reason its really hard to tidy up after an earthquake is because there's so much rubble under the house's. Also house's are destroyed and there's so much water all over and its just a mess and all the people's houses are gone. They live in there broken homes. blog ya later

  5. Hi Megan,
    Samantha here.
I think that tidying up after the quake would be a huge job because there would be liquefaction everywhere and it might keep coming as ignorant people flush there broken toilets. It would be hard cause so many people lost there lives and emergency services would be running low on people. what do you think?
    Samantha.

  6. Kia ora ms Judd J'varn here from your class. I think tidying a earthquake is a really hard job because if it was a massive earthquake there would be lots of jobs like if a 21 story building that was destroyed it would take a long time to build up again and all the people who would have died and the roads would be all cracked there other things but it would be a hard job.

  7. Hello Megan!
After a earth quake it can be really hard to clean a house after it because some of your house can fall down. Lots and lots of things can fall down like plats, cups, glass, vases and more. Sometimes it will not be as hard because it might just be a little earth quake and not much stuff will fall. Have you ever been in a earthquake?? Blog you later!!

  8. Hi Ms Judd it's Kapiri,
I think tidying up after an earthquake is a huge job because houses and buildings could have tumbled down, there could be cracks in the road and some people need to clean up the streets so other people can be safe and because of that it could take months or weeks to clean up the road.
Why do you tidying up after an earthquake is important?
    Bye:)

  10. Hi Ms Judd. I think that it is hard to tidy up liquefaction because:
    1. It takes a lot of time, shoveling, and people to just clear out a bit of it.
    2. It grosses out people making them not wanting to do it.
    3. The amount of liquefaction keeps growing and growing because of all the after-shocks.
Question: Why do you think tidying up liquefaction is so hard?
    Bye!

  17. KIA Ora Zejm here. I think tidying up after the Canterbury Quake is good for the earth because if you don't the roads and other places might get flooded with the Liquefaction. I also think that you should clean up the stuff that also broke and fell in your house just in case you stand on something or hit something. do you clean up the Liquefaction outside your house and the stuff that fell off shelves? . blog ya later :} :}

  18. Hi its Richie. the reason why its such a huge job is because their is big bricks that falls out of houses and we have to put them back up. And there is rubbish in the rivers in the ocean and on the ground. So they have to clean up the rubbish to help the sea animals and land animals. And rocks falls from mountain and cliffs so people have to be careful to not get hit by any big rocks while there cleaning up the mess from the quake. How is tidying a mess from a quake a huge job. Blog ya later. Bye
