  1. Hi Miss Judd.
My review is that I liked the story because it has told me about the Canterbury earthquakes. I didn't know much about the earthquakes but this book has told me more than I knew. I learn't from this book that you should keep a pear of slippers or any type of foot wear (Maybe Flip flops) next to your bed.
The part I remember the most is when the picture frame that Maddy had just brought her mum had smashed to pieces.

Have you ever been in a earthquake before?

  5. Hello Ms Judd, Teddy here.
Maddy the main person of the book always cried because of the big earthquakes.
Maddy really wants a phone she is asking for one all the time.
The earthquakes are destroying lots of buildings and the earthquake has killed many people. I learnt that an earthquake is much worse than I thought, I also learnt there is such thing as liquefaction.
The part that I remembered is when the picture frame that Maddy had just brought her mum, smashed.
I enjoyed the book a little bit.
    Did you like the book?
    Blog you later!!!

  8. Hi Megan. I liked the book because:
    1. It wasn't boring because a lot if things were happening in it. For E.G: Earthquakes, after shocks, broken houses, smashed windows, liquefaction, and a lot more! (almost like a war zone).
    2. There are parts where the protagonist and antagonists be friendly together.
    3. It has some real information about the earthquake that actually happened at the end. (Which the book was based on)
    What do you think?
    Bye! Kaito

  9. Hi ms Judd this my review, after listening to this story i was amazed that we got all the details of Maddy's life. At the start she begged for a phone wanting one so much, we see how shes getting annoyed as we meet the first antagonist, ZOE! we also meet the side protagonist Maddy's best friend we see them go through good times and bad. Then when the first earthquake strikes, her life is shattered into small bits with even more problems fro her as we continue life gets slightly better, apart from the aftershocks. Until the 2nd earthquake strikes getting all those small bits...And turning them into nothing,as Maddy's life once again gets worse, tragedy strikes as her best friend is forced to move away she starts to find new friends and thinks she will always visit with the end of the book, she explains her life will get better.

  11. Hello Megan!
I really liked the book about the earthquake I thought it was very interesting. My favorite part about it was probably when there was a big earthquake. I learned that earthquakes can be really bad. (Well I already knew that they could be Scary). But this one was really terrible.
It would be very unlucky if Auckland had the earthquake. Also it was very bad that is was in Canterbury still. What was your favorite part of the story??? Blog you later!

  14. Hi Ms Judd it's Kapiri,
I really like Canterbury Quake and what I enjoyed the most is that Tessa and Maddy learnt that they have similar problems at school, and what I thought was interesting is that an earthquake actually happened in Canterbury . I learn that earthquakes can be really bad and that they can happen any time. What I thought was the most memorable part was when Laura moved away.
Have you ever been in an earthquake?
    Bye :)
